The Chaos Sentinels are complete!
This represents the first completed unit for the in-progress Renegades & Heretics/Warp Cults army.
The customization was covered here:

Since that point the weathering component has been completed and represents a lot of new exploratory territory having never used weathering products before.
Granted a rim of black will be required around the bases.
Three elements of weathering were applied. All were conducted using Ammo by Mig Jimenez products. Having been very pleased with their paints I was excited to work with their weathering products.
First was the rust. This was accomplished by a combination of Track Wash, Light Rust and Streaking Rust Effects. This was used on most surfaces as can be seen.
After this was a layer of oil stains consisting of Engine Grime, Fuel Stains and Fresh Oil was applied. This was used sparingly where seemingly logical; engines, gears, mechanical parts. This does not show well in the pictures and will likely be more visible when the Basilisks are complete.
Finally a layer of mud was applied by way of Fresh Mud, Dark Mud and Dark Earth; heavily added to the base and feet and lighter splashes further up.
I am very pleased with the final effects. The objective and vision from the beginning was that these vehicles began their service careers as loyal Imperial Sentinels. When their masters turned to Chaos, they kept their vehicles mechanically and functionally sound, but cared little for the cleanliness or appearance of said vehicles.
As always, questions, concerns, conundrums and existential dilemmas are welcome.

Mr. Kalidor
